The Coronary Health Improvement Project

The Coronary Health Improvement Project (CHIP) is a lifestyle program that has a lot of people talking in the United States and across the world. Thousands of graduates have learned how to take charge of their health restore energy and vibrant health.

The CHIP lifestyle program is designed to dramatically reduce and even reverse your risk of atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries). This silent process in the blood vessels is our number one killer. If you are over weight, have high blood pressure, diabetes, angina, or high cholesterol or wish to avoid these problems, CHIP is for you.

The scientific evidence is that most diabetic (adult on set), hypertensive and heart disease patients can normalize and even reverse their condition with a healthy lifestyle. Let CHIP show you how. CHIP also provides an alumi support program.

Dr. Hans Dielh is the director of the Lifestyle Medicine Institute of Loma Linda, California, the founder of CHIP and is the primary speaker of these video presentations. Dr. Diehl is a pioneer in lifestyle medicine. He was a postdoctoral research fellow in cardiovascular epidemiology, supported by the National Institute of Health, and has directed the research and education programs at the Nathan Pritikin Longevity Center in California. He holds a doctorate in Health Science and a Masters in Public Health Nutrition from Loma Linda University. His presentations are compelling, clear and most relevant for today.

Dr. Catherine Purushothaman is the director for the Burnt Mills Church CHIP chapter. CHIP is an exciting program that will benefit your heart health. Learn how to fight common diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, cancer, obesity, and osteoporosis by making simple lifestyle changes. The four week program includes health seminars, food tasting and recipes, comprehensive Heart Screen, individualized health recommendations, and an alumni support group. Burnt Mills recently hosted a CHIP session during April and May of 2008, and should have another session in the Spring of 2009. CHIP sessions are taking place all around the country, and many people have experienced tremendous health benefits.
